Ian Van Dahl – Try!

I meant to post this earlier, but forgot! Here’a fab lil’ flash trailer for Ian Van Dahl’s new UK single, “Try”. It’s already out now in the UK! It scooted into this week’s chart at number 15! It topped the (dot)DANCE chart back in August. Choon! 🙂

Meanwhile over here the Yanks are still catching up – “Reason” was released a couple of weeks back (that’s like 5 months after the rest of the world!) – check the Lange Remix of Reason – nice!

Here’s the promo (click on “read more”) – don’t forget to check the video for this one too!!

October 2002 Dance Chart

Oceanlab follow on from their previous single, Clear Blue Water, with another piece of fresh vocal trance. Justine Suissa once again provides the vocals and they top this months chart. Trinity X – Forever – has been around for a few months, but due for a UK commerical release very shortly. If you liked “Do you know” by Silverblue you’ll like “Step Back” which features at number 3.

Iio and Perpetuous Dreamer are soon to release follow-ups to their debut singles – Iio wil release “At The End” which has been remixed by Johnny Vicous, and PD will release Dust.Wave remixed by Armin Van Buuren. Armin also recently remixed Solid Session’s Janerio and the follow-up to Riva’s last hit (Stringer – Who Do You Love Now?) called Time Is The Healer.

For the house fans, you have to check out “Take Me With You” by Cosmos which is currently topping the UK Dance charts.

Another one bites the dust

JM’s fairwell party was held on Friday at Tom’s Bar in Downtown NYC. Good luck back in Manila dude! I’m sure our paths will cross again!

Here’s a direct link to all the photo’s from the party, courtesy of PeopleAndEvents.com.

Oh, and here’s a bad Pinoy Joke to send you on your way!

A Pinoy dies and goes to hell. There he finds that there is a different hell for each country. He goes first to the German hell and asks, “What do they do here?”
He is told, “First they put you in an electric chair for an hour. Then they lay you on a bed of nails for another hour. Then the German devil comes in and whips you for the rest of the day.” The man does not like the sound of that at all, so he moves on.

He checks out the USA hell as well as the Russian hell and many more. He discovers that they are all more or less the same as the German hell. Then he comes to the Filipino hell and finds that there is a very long line of people waiting to get in. Amazed he asks, “What do they do here?”

He is told “First they put you in an electric chair for an hour. Then they lay you on a bed of nails for another hour. Then the Fi! lipino devil comes in and whips you for the rest of the day.”

“But that is exactly the same as all the other hells- why are there so many people waiting to get in?”

“Because there is always a brownout, so the electric chair does not work. Somebody stole all the nails to sell it “por kilo”. And the devil used to be a public official, so he comes in, punches his time-card, shakes hands with all the people waiting there and then goes back home…”

September Dance Chart – 2002

OK – some great tracks (as always) for the September chart. Clear Blue Water is a great piece of uplifing vocal trance – nice haunting lyrics – her voice is similar that of Maria Nayler, Maria Rubia and Skye. Good in both the original and Ferry Corsten mixes! (Watch out for the follow-up “Sky Falls Down”). Beautiful Child by Madelyne and Do You Know by Silverblue are equally as strong in their own rights!

There’s also a Lange Mix and an Airscape Mix in this month’s chart – Lange comes up with the goods as always with his mix of Ian Van Dahl’s “Reason” and gives it a new lease of life. The Airscape Mix of “Do You Know” by Silverblue won’t leave you disappointed. I’ll be adding some Lange and Airscape discographies soon!

For the housey fans check out Loving The Alien, Beautiful, and the new albums by Amber and Mary J Blige.

Thanks for eveyone that e-mails me – keep the comments and recommendations coming 🙂 See ya next month!

Wembley – The New Millennium Dome?

_TPThe English National Stadium saga continues! The whole project is turning into fiasco like the Millennium Dome. What a disgrace!

Check out the bid that the majority of football fans want: The National Stadium. Situated in the centre of the Country with excellent transport links, a world-class stadium design and a cheaper, value-for-money option than Wembley – this is where the Stadium should be!
